Full Stack Developer Internship - Remote
Job Description
This role involves We are looking for someone who is an expert in UI design, UX design, front-end development, back-end development, cloud, and database maintenance/migration to join our growing company. A successful candidate will have a strong understanding of human-computer interaction design (HCID), be able to come up with elegant solutions to improve our application, and develop on advanced node, react, angular, and databases as well as cloud. You will draw on your existing skill sets while we help you fine-tune your skills and grow in your interest field. This is an unpaid position. This Internship for academic credit provides credit for current university students following your university's guidelines.

To be eligible for this internship position, you must be enrolled in, planning to enroll, or accepted for enrollment in an academic internship course or experience recognition program through your college or university that will run concurrently with this internship opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and deconstruct our users' digital interactions and habits.
- Come up with UI and UX strategies based on our target goals.
- Create and maintain digital assets, such as interface design files, wireframes, and interactive mockups using design and prototyping tools: e.g., Sketch and InVision.
- Design, build, and maintain highly reusable JavaScript, HTML and CSS code.
- Understand the limitations of our tech stack and business model and provide technical advice wherever necessary.
Skills
- Specific coursework in front-end development, back-end development, and databases.
- Specific coursework in UI/UX design.
- A portfolio that demonstrates both JavaScript proficiency and understanding of SOLID design principles (plugins, node packages, etc.).
- Knowledge of CSS, CSS extension languages (Less, Sass), and CSS preprocessor tools.
- Strong knowledge of HTML5 and its best practices.
- Proficiency in designing interfaces and building clickable prototypes using (Sketch, InVision, Axure, etc.).
- A history of deconstructing user behavior to create an improved experience for users, showcased in the form of blog posts, articles, screencasts, etc.
- Proficiency using Git version control.
- Proficiency using the command line.
- AWS certification a plus.
Additional Information:
- Pay: Unpaid, for College Credit/Academic Credit. This requires a concurrent internship class.
- Job Duration: 12 weeks.
- Schedule: Minimum of three days a week, flexible on days; at least 10 hrs/week meeting the requirements of your college/university.
- Work Location: 100% Remote.
- Education: (In college) Majoring in Computer Science, Web development, Cloud computing, Mobile App Development, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or a related field.
